This week I leart from a storybook in English lesson. This book is called The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer, written by Mark Twain. It is about Tom Sawyer who was a little boy came from a poor family. This is related th the autor.
Mark Twain is one of the most popular American writers of the nineteenth century. His family was poor. Mark Twain left school at the age of thirteen to work as a printer. In his leisure time, he began to work on a boat which sailed up and down the Mississippi River. It was here that he met the characters he describes in his books. Many of his stories are about his journeys on the Mississippi."The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" is the best-known of his books.
The book describes the boyhood of Tom Sawyer, an orphan, who lives with his kind Aunt Polly. Tom is a cheerful, honest, lively boy. His adventures have delighted boys and girls all over the world.
From this book, I can see how American lived in the past. It is funny. And I feel interesting and happy when I am reading "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer". The book is enjoyable.Let's read!
